I read your blog with a lot of interest! I am interested in learning to fly, and I have sounded out a few local clubs (well, one… But it was good). I have booked my first “Trial” lesson there and guess what? I’ll be flying in a Piper Warrior too! I can’t wait: it should be great fun. I’ve been wanting to learn to fly for a while now, so this is just the start for me. I have yet to persuade my parents to fund a full PPL course (Being 16 years old) - it’s a lot of money, but I am bartering to save about 20% myself to show I care, then for them to pay the rest.
I wish you luck with your flying, and look forward to bumping into you at some aerodrome when we are both qualified pilots!

Best of luck Scott with the training, it’s not all easy particularly with weather cancellations, aeroplane availability, aircraft ‘going tech’ etc but it is very well worth it in the end. Also once you qualify you will have the dubious honour of meeting many varied and interesting characters that make up the aviation community in the UK.

That’s fantastic - living in Knowle you probably weren’t too far out of sight had I been looking! Hope your flying continues to be as much fun. Let us know where the photos are up!

Cool, I’ve always wanted to go for a flight, been up as a passenger in an old auster spotter plane, and that was fantastic, but never flown myself before. Sounds like you had a fantastic day, maybe i’ll have to drop hints to Tom eh
